Little advisory, the in-game menu for the 117 Demo doesn&#39;t pause the timer.

Why do people hate on Paradox&#39;s DLC strategy for it&#39;s grand strategy games, it keeps content coming for 10+ years, when the alternative is getting a new 80$ game every year or two with very few improvements?

Laptop of about 2 years suddenly having issues playing games I&#39;ve been playing basically since I got it.
