What is the best way to support helleniums? Planted some this year but with recent wind and rain they are leaning a lot and some have snapped too? Thanks

Do echinops do well in large pots? I've heard they have pretty deep roots. Would like them for bees but no space in borders. Thanks

Can anyone recommend a good half moon edging tool that doesn't snap where welded? I've seen a bulldog one, but, a lot of reviews say the blade is quite thick. Thanks

Which ones are spent flowers? Blue circle or red? I think the red ones, but just checking before cutting. Thanks

When it says 'cut back hard' in July for salvia cardonna. What does this mean? Right to the ground?

How do you know when a stem is spent on this salvia? Is it when no purple, or, are these stems with no purple still to flower?

I have a spot to fill and want to plant a perennial, however, lots seem to be in flower now at the garden centre. So do I buy one now that's in flower so it dies off ready to return next year, buy a smaller one (say 9cm pot) that won't flower but at least settles in, or leave the space & buy next Yr

I planted a Paeoniae cora louise earlier this year and it's not done much whilst it's roots settle. RHS says height and spread ultimately between 0.5-1metre. I have been sent another in error & been told I can keep it. Will these 'merge' if I plant them close together? Or should I plant elsewhere

What makes you want to carry on when everything seems to be failing? Leaves look unhealthy, plants covered in aphids, lawn full of weeds and honeysuckle ruined by mildew 😞
